Summit Contracting Announces New Irrigation Parts Delivery Service in Osmond, Onawa, and Norfolk

Osmond, NE, January 7, 2025 – Summit Contracting is excited to introduce a new Irrigation Parts Delivery Service, providing unmatched convenience and reliability to our customers in the Osmond, Onawa, and Norfolk regions. This innovative service will start in January 2025 and was officially announced at a customer appreciation lunch in Osmond on December 19, 2024, attended by more than 150 local farmers and community members.

 

Jeff Bettenhausen, Summit Contracting’s Irrigation Specialist, shared key details of the delivery service during the event. “At Summit Contracting, we are committed to maintaining the highest level of service our communities expect. Our new delivery service ensures that the same parts, service, and team; our customers trust are now conveniently at their doorstep,” said Bettenhausen. 

The event also served as an occasion to honor Joe Schmit’s retirement. John Halsey and Jared Halsey, longtime Osmond coworkers, shared heartfelt words acknowledging Joe’s invaluable contributions and dedication to the company. They expressed deep appreciation for his years of service, which significantly shaped the company's success.

The new parts delivery service includes several customer-focused features:

  • Order Now for Best Pricing: Customers who order their irrigation parts by January 17, 2025, will benefit from free delivery, ensuring they receive the best prices well ahead of the next growing season.
  • Parts Delivery Service: Starting January 2025, Summit will deliver directly to farms, featuring fully stocked service trucks operated by specialists ready to assist with any needs on-site.
  • Service and Zone Pricing: Pricing will be based on mileage from Osmond and Onawa for customers historically serviced by those locations, optimizing costs for local farmers.
  • On Farm Parts Stocking: Summit Contracting will offer an option to stock brand-new parts directly at customer operations, enhancing the efficiency of their irrigation systems.

  • Future Enhancements: By Spring 2025, Summit plans to introduce regional site drop boxes and an online parts request system to further streamline the parts acquisition process.

     

For those who prefer a traditional walk-in experience, the Norfolk location will continue to offer a fully stocked parts counter.
