Who We Are

Our Philosophy

There's a reason we're called "the farm builders." We absolutely love working for farmers. In fact, farming is at our very core. We’re all farm kids who grew up seeing the dedication our families put in every day from dawn to dusk, and we strive to emulate that work ethic in every project we do, no matter how big or how small.

We are proud to be a full-service contracting company. We are here to serve you throughout the entire process. We have our own specialized crews who focus solely on their area of expertise, from drafting and designing to site excavation, concrete pouring, building-specific construction and electrical work. This allows us to control the building schedule and makes for a more seamless process.

But our work doesn’t end when the building is complete. We are committed to maintaining relationships with all of our customers throughout the lifetime of the structure, whether you need to have it serviced or just have questions or concerns. Above all, we know our customers and our employees are the cream of the crop. We would not be where we are today without them.

However, if you do have a problem or a concern, our team will do everything in our power to meet you wherever you are to make it right.

Our Process

From the day you think “You know, I could really use a new structure for X, Y or Z,” Summit’s team will be right there with you. Have questions? Ask. We’ll answer them. Not sure where to start? Let us put our expertise to work for you. Our 8-step construction process is set up to make the entire project go off without a hitch.

Because we are a full-service contracting company, your Summit point of contact will be one of our dedicated structure specialists who specifically focus on your type of project. For example, our grain bin specialists focus mainly on grain bins. Building specialists focus mainly on buildings, etc.

1. Determine

Once you’ve reached out to us about your project, your dedicated point of contact will work with you to determine your project needs.

2. Communicate

Our detail-oriented project managers will be in regular communication with you, keeping the process on time and on budget.

3. Customize

With specs wrapped up, structure specialists will begin to add in any customizations you might want.

4. Permit

Your Summit specialist will then advise you about any and all building permits and documents you need.

5. Site Preparation

Summit will then begin preparing your site for construction, starting with excavation and concrete pouring if necessary.

6. Deliver

A highly-trained CDL-certified driver will deliver and unload all components on-site.

7. Construction

A structure-specific crew will then begin the construction process shortly after delivery.

8. Walkthrough

Once your structure has been built, your specialist will conduct a final walkthrough with you.

Construction completion doesn’t mean Summit’s job is done. Once your structure is in place, our team will continue to check in with you to ensure you are 100% satisfied with your project.

Summit Contracting was great to work with. They were able to get the best price in the area and got my project done on time. They told me they would have my grain bin up a month sooner than anyone else estimated. And they delivered on that promise.
