Summit Contracting is humbled to announce the opening of a new location in Sioux Center, Iowa in February 2022.

Patrick Veurink to serve as Market President for the Iowa location. Summit prides itself on timely construction and that wouldn’t be possible without Pat. Having been in the construction industry since high school, Pat has a profound understanding of the unique ins-and-outs of the business.

Originally from Corsica, SD, Pat has degrees in Construction Management and Architectural Drafting from Mitchell Technical Institute. Pat started with Summit in March 2014, on one of the building crews, his role to foreman was quick. In May of 2015, Summit made the strategic move to no longer purchase building packages, but rather procure and package the building materials on their own. With that decision, Apex Buildings was formed, and Pat transitioned into the management role of this sub-division. As Summit continued to develop, Pat became Vice President of Building Systems and a shareholder in the company in January 2016.

Pat recently announced his engagement to Brooke Anderson. Brooke is a lifelong resident of Sioux Center and currently works for American State Bank as a Customer Service Representative in Sioux Center. Together Pat and Brooke have 4 children, Neely 9, Jentry 8, Hazel 7, and Sumiya 6.

Summit Contracting is a self-perform and full-service on farm construction company specializing in post and steel frame buildings, grain bins, grain system millwright, excavation including water and sewer, crane services, concrete, and electrical with locations in Platte, Pierre, and Brookings South Dakota, Seward Nebraska, and Sioux Center Iowa.
