Casey Baumgarn was raised on a small farm just north of Wallace, South Dakota, where he helped care for pigs and sheep. Early mornings and daily chores taught him the kind of work ethic that still shows up in everything he does. That rural foundation, combined with 26 years in the South Dakota Army National Guard, shaped his leadership style and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Casey has worked in construction since the age of 19, balancing construction projects with military service. He joined Summit Contracting in March 2022 and has taken on a range of sales and management roles. Today, he serves as Director of Sales in Building Systems, leading and mentoring a sales team while also managing vendor relationships to ensure Summit offers the best materials for its customers.

What Casey enjoys most about working at Summit is the people. He values the strong team environment, where high character and hard work are the norm. He is energized by the people and the opportunity to help others succeed. He appreciates that everyone at Summit is encouraged to keep learning, take ownership, and support one another.

He currently lives near Webster, South Dakota with his wife Anne. They have three kids who are all busy with high school and college life. When he is not working, Casey is likely on the water or working on his cars. Hunting and fishing are his favorite ways to recharge.
