Jerad Hutchens
Working on their 4th generation family farm in Nebraska, Jerad developed a strong work ethic combined with an entrepreneurial spirit; he started a lawn mowing business at the age of 10, which supported his economic independence and college education. While attending the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, he was able to build a solid foundation in the agriculture industry. Jerad graduated from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources with a degree in Agri-Business.
Jerad’s prior work experiences, internships, customer relationships, and knowledge of agricultural science provided a robust base for working with and for farmers. Developing working relationships with customers built on foundations of similar backgrounds, morals, and interest in production agriculture continues to be of utmost importance to him. Jerad served as the regional representative for GSI-AGCO covering a 5-state territory for six years before joining Summit Contracting. In 2014, Jerad became a partner as Vice President of Grain Systems. This has allowed him to pursue his passion of business development and helping the Summit Contracting grain side of the business to now rank in the top five GSI dealers nationwide.
Jerad is proud to have his feet securely planted in the agriculture industry where he can build relationships and projects that will continue for generations. Jerad resides in Platte with his wife, Megan and three small children, Erik and twin girls Ariel and Elvee. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, snowmobiling, hunting, boating, golfing, or anything the great outdoors has to offer.
